Double decker structure for the yacht race Volvo Ocean Race -
Quotation from Lars H. Thunell, SEBs CEO:
"As the most important asset in connection with the stopover
activities in the harbours the SEB Race Pavilion was developed.
It may in short be described as a gigantic activity tent
with infinite possibilities.
The purpose of the SEB Race Pavilion was
to create a messenger for SEB and the world we represent,
as well as an interesting meeting place for customers,
business partners, employees, and teams –
and where several activities could be completed
at the same time.”
The tent was constructed and erected
by Service 2000 A/S and was opened during a ceremony
with Crown princess Victoria on 4 May 2001
at Nacka Beach, Stockholm.

 


Double decker structures for the yacht race Volvo Ocean Race –
Especially designed for SEB (the bank) as sponsor for one
of the boats.
The tents were erected in the following harbours
during the yacht race:
Southampton, Cape Town, Rio de Janeiro, Miami,
Baltimore, La Rochelle, and Gothenburg.
